    Basically CFL or compact florescent light bulb consume 25% of what a normal incandescent bulb.

    For example the equivalent 100 watt CFL bulb consumes only 23 watts.

    Replacing all your incandescent bulbs in your house with equivalent florescent bulbs would save you 75% off your bill.

    My 2 bedroom apartment electric bill is under $40/mo and that is without trying to conserve electricity.
